F This Junk.

I cannot wait for winter to be over.  It’s been so sunny and pretty out lately.  I am just waiting for warm breezes, light jackets, singing birds,  strolls through Central Park, bar nights on the street, and a social scene and wardrobe that just screams freedom!  I loathe winter coats, and movement impeding weather. I am a pretty fast and direct walker, and when it’s cold it shivers me to the bones!  Therefore, I slow down.

As you know with spring comes rebirth.  Flowers bloom, babies are born,  and everyone gains a fresh attitude.  I always feel like March 20th is the last day of the year. Winter is all nasty and stale to me by this point of the year.  It’s like an ashtray filled with old butts (and the cigarettes are all Marlboro Reds).  Yuck.  I feel like  I got something loose in my caboose.  Like I just wanna put on my best duds and shake what my momma gave me! Not that I can’t shake what my momma gave me right now, but I’m moving and you know how much that time that leaves you with .  Zero.

Before I know it though I will be in a new place and in a new season.  I got a whole new workout routine that includes this bike and excersize machine that I have purchased.  I am so excited to start bike riding.  Every time I get on a bike I feel like I am the female version of Lance Armstrong and I get all carried away with the wind lapping on my face and my hair blowing in the wind.  If there were no rules and no obstacles (people, street corners, cars)  I would ride my little ass into the ground and wear my tires out trying to see how fast I could go.  I love speeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!

I also took yet another personality test today (why is for another blog at another time), and according to Dr. Helen Fisher, out of 4 types- Builder,  Explorer, Director, and Negotiator, I am an Explorer!  So you see, I am not made for this drab season.  What is there to explore, especially if you’re not a snow bunny? I suppose it’s the whole if you have lemons make lemonade sort of thing, which I have done and will do, but I thrive best in the warmer climates.

Speaking of which, a hiking trip is soon to come. Bombs away! Look out for pics next month.

Oh Jemaine,  shake it in your shiny MC Hammer pants! On a musical note this has a lot of good pop and hip hop sensibility. If it wasn’t about sugar lumps, it could be a hit.

I also really like this song, and accidentally stumbled upon this video on youtube.  I find it kind of ironic that  he is singing such a soulful vocal in a such a constricted suit, nevermind format.

The Wheel of Fortune

With a new stimulus bill about to be signed it was only fitting that the tarot card of today is the Wheel of Fortune.  No, there is no secret society out there that decided upon a tarot card today.  It is however,  the conclusion card that I had pulled in a recent reading and this morning I was thinking about it’s implications and meaning.

Very fitting card for these times.  What will happen socially? Nationally? Internationally? Personally? Economically? Environmentally?  We have yet to see.  If you consider where  you, the nation, and the world stands currently then expect the outcome to be based on current actions and agenda.  I certainly believe that this is year is not just about personal change, but I really truly sense a large tide of change for the whole world.  It’s not just about the new Presidency,  but also about the ending of an era.   It’s 2009, end of the 00’s .  I wonder what kinds of changes and themes the teens will bring?  Now is a very transitional but decisive moment for all of us.  How do you want to exact change on the world?  Whether it’s your debt,  patriotism, or concern for the environment.  Maybe you just want love, hope, or optimism.  It’s all within your hands.  Being that this is a card I pulled for myself, I am quite optimistic about it’s outcome.

General Idea and Meaning:

” The Wheel of Fortune is a type of energy that stands beyond the realm of our understanding and control. Certainly you can experience its effects in life, like you feel the pull of gravity on your body. But just as you can see the apple falling but not the gravity pulling on it, so too are the works of Fate and Destiny invisible to us. The nature of that change and the effects it has really depend on how much you understand the concepts of Fate, and whether or not you can prepare for it. Generally the change shown in the Wheel of Fortune is a dramatic change from the established order. So if you have been scraping along for a while, expect big changes in your favor within a few days. But if you’ve been feeling on top of the world for a long time, batten down the hatches and keep an eye out for storms – one is bound to hit you sooner or later… “
