About

A young professional working in the technology and music business, I am an avid music lover and have had my share of industry experiences.  Born and raised in New York City, and currently a resident of Brooklyn, I have plenty of exposure to the buzz and live music.

Everything else I write about, are just observations about life in general and are not based on any kind of professional experience.  If you’re reading this and trying to figure who I am, I will tell you that all you need to know is that I am a 20-something female who just can’t keep her thoughts to herself.

Update:

since I have seen  a spike in traffic to my page, and particularly quite a few clicks on the About section,  I am willing to give you a couple of kernels about yours truly. While these might not be organized in any fashion, knock yourself out with little bits of trivia about me:

1. I can play the bass, trumpet, guitar, dabble on the keyboard and make sense of the clarinet.  How well I play them at this point is a completely different question.  In my dreams at night I got pipes like Aretha,  and can tear down the walls with my heady vocals. Ha!

2. I was once a dancer and performed pointe ballet.

3.  The only TV I watch is completely random.  There are things I like but I watch nothing regularly.  I loathe sit-coms. I love Netflix.

4.  I haven’t listened to the radio in years and don’t plan to much ever again. As of late it really  weirds me out when someone says they heard something on the radio…

5.    and for #5, 5 random things I love:  intelligent conversation, retro prints, sweeping valleys, black leather boots, and The Unbearable Lightness of Being.

6. I cannot stand the pop-punk that came out from about 2000-2006.  That whole period in punk history is shameful.

7.  I was born in Brooklyn, raised in Staten Island, went a couple other places for a bit, and am now back in Brooklyn. If I could live anywhere else in this country it would probably not be the East Coast.

8.  I hate flying but I love traveling, and would like to see the whole world. Every last bit of it. If money wasn’t a factor I don’t think I would be home much.

9.  I do pretty good impersonations… yes it’s true. Famous, not famous, stereotypes. Yup.

10.  Beatles freak, no–  Beatles fan &  expert, yes.

11.  I am a mean cook when I try.

12.  I love cats but I love dogs just as much. In fact, I would love a big ole mutt one day.

13.   I love to laugh, (hence the random postings about Will Ferrell, and the Drunk History chronicles). If you can make me laugh (whether it’s dead pan sarcasm, or out right physical comedy) then I am a fan.

14.  If I could learn to shut my brain down, that would be nice.  However, this is the whole reason for the blog.  I think too much.

15. I have a lot of energy, and am pretty well known for being a night owl.

16.   If what I am doing right now doesn’t work out and doesn’t ultimately lead to film scoring work, then I am going to open my own cafe.

17.  Put too many drinks in me, and I can freestyle.

18.   I like coffee, but can’t handle it.  One sniff of caffeine and I am over the edge. Decaf please!

19. I’m a Gemini rising. (for those of you who know astrology, can’t you tell?)

20.   I hated school, but love learning on my own. Every day in every way.
